At Saudi Infrastructure Expo, we are committed to fostering sustainability throughout our event and we encourage all exhibitors and attendees to join us in our mission to reduce the environmental impact. Here are some key initiatives and guidelines to help you participate in creating a more sustainable event:

Sustainability Sponsor Feature

Our Sustainability Sponsor, Shas Water Co., specializes in chemical and water treatment solutions. They offer customized antiscalants, corrosion inhibitors, and a range of chemical products, along with tailored design/build, operation and maintenance, and consulting services.

With over 28 years of experience, Their team helps clients address impurities, optimize processes and reduce costs. They assist industrial, commercial and municipal sectors in meeting environmental standards.
Shas has introduced an innovative feature that generates fresh water from the air using solar-powered machines, providing sustainable, clean drinking water for all attendees at our exhibition.

Bottle Up for a Greener Future

We have partnered with the first sustainable bottled water company in the GCC that’s aiming to solve the single-use plastic bottle epidemic through 100% recyclable packaging. Saudi Infrastructure Expo, Global Water Expo and Smart Cities Saudi Expo are at the forefront of the sustainablity push and present incredible opportunes to display the potential of aluminum as a substitute to plastic while encouraging a culture of refilling & recycling! With every bottle that’s distributed during the show days, our partners also make a charitable contribution to a water based charity, hence the name, sadaqua (صدقة).

Initiatives by us, the Organizers:

Digital solutions:

We provide digital versions of our sales and sponsorship brochures for easy access and to reduce paper waste.
During the event, we utilize digital boards for the Saudi Infrastructure Summit and Infra360 Sessions agenda instead of printed agendas, contributing to paper waste reduction.
A lead retrieval app replaces printed business cards, allowing exhibitors to scan and track leads received at their stand.

Shell scheme stand:

The shell scheme materials are reused by the contractor for other shows - resulting in no waste while promoting resource efficiency.

Signage structures:

Wooden structures for signage are reused by the contractor for other shows - promoting resource efficiency.

Sustainable suppliers utilized of the event:

We opt to work with sustainable contractors and suppliers that align with our company goals

Catering used at the event:

Any remaining food is distributed to workers or venue staff to minimize wasting of food.

Carpet for the event:

The exhibition carpet is collected after the show, and donated to various orphanages, mosques and families in need.

Additional sustainability procedures taken at the event:

Exhibition waste is collected and recycled by a recycling company.

Structure and design of the stand:

Opt for modular stands over MDF structures to minimize waste and promote reusability.
Utilize LED lights to conserve energy and reduce your stand's carbon footprint.
Choose native plants over cut flowers or micro herbs and consider eco-flooring options to cut down on wood waste.
Implement procedures to power down your stand during non-operational hours to save energy.
Choose reusable, sustainable materials for giveaways and corporate gifts instead of plastic bags.
Reuse bespoke elements of your stand and hire furniture to minimize resource consumption.
Place recycling bins on your stand to encourage proper waste sorting and reduction.

Printed collateral:

Embrace digital solutions to reduce paper waste and opt for recycled paper if printing is necessary.
Allow the organizer team to collect surplus printed materials for recycling.

Stand catering:

Choose from sustainable menus and eco-friendly cutlery options provided by the venue.
Opt for 'Green Meeting Packages' to minimize environmental impact during meetings.
