Riyadh, Saudi Arabia| 13 September 2023:

Saudi Infrastructure Expo, the premier event for the infrastructure industry, which is running alongside the Global Water Expo, the only exhibition in Saudi Arabia dedicated to the water industry at RICEC (Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center), convenes both local and international companies to exchange knowledge and insights, fostering collaboration and innovation in advancing the future of the infrastructure and water industries, with numerous partnerships being formed during the event.

At the Saudi Infrastructure Expo, King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) signed a long-term water supply agreement with Water Transmission and Technologies Co. (WTTCO). Strengthening the position of the event in its role of supporting the Kingdom’s ambitious water sector development plans, the agreement, valued at around SAR1 billion, solidifies a commitment to ensure a consistent and sustainable water supply and world-class services to SPARK city. The agreement was signed between Ahmed Alessa, CEO of SPARK Utilities, and Dr. Tariq AlNaeem, CEO of WTTCO, as well as other dignitaries representing both companies.

On Day 2 of the event, Bahra Electric and Abdul Al-Ajmi signed an MoU for the Rua’a Al-Madinah Infrastructure Project for the supply of 160 kilometres of infrastructure MV cables. The agreement was signed by Fahed T. Idriss, Deputy CEO of Bahra Electric Abdulali Al Ajmi, Chairman of Abdul Alajmi.

Also signing an MoU at the event were Amjaad Technology and Saudi SDN. As part of the agreement, Saudi SDN will be the agent and distributor for Amjaad Technology brands of smart metering solutions. Ahmed Amin, CEO of Saudi SDN and Eng. Hussein Darwish, CEO of Amjaad Technology signed the agreement.

The Saudi Infrastructure Summit, organized by dmg events and Saudi Contractors Authority, wrapped up with Day 2 of the summit with exclusive and high-level gathering of leaders and policy makers from the water industry.

A key takeaway from the final day of the summit was the need to increase the participation of private sector in delivering the National Water Strategy while enhancing the collaboration between stakeholders to meet the growing water demand. Another highlight was the emphasis on discovering key trends in public-private partnerships in water supply and sanitation.
